Today, our school will be participating in Orange Shirt Day – a day to honour residential school survivors and their families and reflect on the residential school system in Canada.

At 9:10am, all K-8 students will come to the gym for our regular monthly assembly that we have scheduled.  There we will have a special presentation by Bonnie Loewen and Ajah Whitstone-Loewen. Their message is that everyone has a story and when we share our stories with each other, we get to know each other a little bit better.  This message is consistent with our own school goal of citizenship where we strive to create a sense of belonging for everyone. We are also asking everyone to wear an orange shirt, if they can.
