The Manitoba Association of Optometrists is the regulatory body for optometry in Manitoba. One of our mandates is to advocate for eye health and optimal vision for all Manitobans.
As part of this mandate, we provide schools and parents with information on eye examinations and coverage by Manitoba Health for all students to 18 years old (the day before their 19th birthday) through our Eye See… Eye Learn® program. This program has generally been directed to Kindergarten students, with additional availability on request for schools who wish to obtain information for students and parents of students in other grades.

Optometry offices are now all open, practicing good social/physical distancing and using appropriate PPE, and are welcoming patients back to their clinics. Information on optometric offices throughout Manitoba can be found at www.mb-opto.ca/find-an-optometrist
